The Weight of a Spirit

by Tami Veldura

Nariah Boyd didn’t think reports of a kidnapping in the city had anything to do with her. The city is big, it was run by vampires who made their own rules—anyone could disappear for any number of reasons.

But then the kidnapper comes for Elidee, Nariah’s best friend, and he snatches her right from Nariah’s back yard. Nariah’s the only one who saw it happen, she’s the only one who knows what the kidnapper really is, and she’s the only one who can stop things before Elidee becomes something else.
